Makio Haitaka is the pastor of Koyo Chapel. Leaving Tokyo, he and his wife came to Hiroshima in 1986 to plant a church. They have been faithful servants. Koyo Chapel has about 90 people in attendance and has planted Kabe Chapel and Asaminami Chapel. Kenji Kitano is the pastor of Kabe Greenhill Chapel, the church plant of Pastor Haitaka’s church. He received his seminary degree from Trinity Seminary in Chicago. He and his wife and three children serve in a vibrant church of approximately 50 people. Pastor Kitano is bilingual and plays an important role in the partnership. Visit Kabe Chapel’s website.
Yoshiteru Yamada is the pastor of Asaminami Chapel, a new church plant of Koyo and Kabe Chapel. Pastor Yamada served as a pastor in Nagoya before coming to Hiroshima in 2011. Pastor Yamada is married and has one daughter. Pastor Yamada works closely with the Pioneer team at Asaminami Bilingual Chapel. Visit Asaminami Chapel’s website.
